She had helped us to sell a house in the past, and as that experience was quite good, we didn't even think twice about going to her again. We asked Carol to come over to assess what preliminary work should be done in order to put the house on the market; she gave good advice, and knew of local handymen to help us with those projects, if necessary. As we were selling the house from long-distance, there were several occasions when we couldn't be there to see to something, such as turning off the water after a showing (or turning it back on), checking the house to determine if we were on track in readying it for sale, keeping us informed as to the snowplowing of the driveway, etc. When the time came to negotiate on the sale itself, Carol gave excellent advice on how to proceed next.
